Microsoft Canada CIO busts OS migration myths

By April 8 next year Microsoft Corp. would have stopped issuing patches to its Windows XP operating system.

For years, Redmond has been threatening (and then pulling back) to cut support for its long in the tooth but very popular OS which has been in use in some businesses and homes since 2001.

This time, Microsoft says it really means it. But some organization still don’t really know what the company means by cutting support for XP.
