On Thursday, Canadian Tire launched its second mobile app available for consumers to download to their iOS and Android devices. We took the opportunity to interview Canadian Tire’s chief technology officer Eugene Roman about securing the new mobile payments app.
Roman also speaks to Canadian Tire’s overall digital business transformation. The brand may best be known by many Canadians for its paper money, but the firm has been taking steps to enter the digital era by hiring talent focused on technology, setting up innovation labs, and engaging customers through technology at its retail locations – including Sport Chek and Mark’s.
