Google faces a class-action lawsuit and criticism from Canada

A Florida woman yesterday filed a class-action lawsuit against Google, charging that the new Buzz social networking tool set violates the privacy rights of users.

Despite the changes Google made to Buzz following negative reaction to the service, EPIC has filed a complaint with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission charging the search giant with violating user privacy. The privacy group wants Google Buzz to be an opt-in service.
