When it comes to business today, the old Dylan tune “The Times They Are A-Changin’” is apropos. The times are indeed changing, with a projected 200-plus per cent increase in the number of connected IoT devices in North America between 2019 and 2025. The smart and intuitive VAR will recognize what’s happening and seize the moment. TELUS’ Associates Program is a golden opportunity, and many resellers are reaping the rewards.

“Over the past decade or so, we’ve put billions of dollars toward the building of a first-rate network across Canada,” said [Name], [Title] at TELUS. “Our network really has no peer when it comes to reliability. As for speed, you could accurately describe it as ‘blazing’ — and it’s going to get even faster as we move officially into the 5G era.”

TELUS’ Associates Program is the right program at the right time, with 73 per cent of the Canadian workforce now mobile, 80 per cent of employees always or sometimes working outside the office, and almost 60 per cent of workplaces vacant at any given time. A majority of employers — 57 per cent of them — are now offering employees “flex” work or teleworking options.

[Name] thinks TELUS’ award-winning mobility solutions, including mobile device security and single-portal mobility management, are a great reason alone for VARs to seriously consider [his/her] organization’s Associates Program. “This is even apart from the stellar support we offer,” [he/she] said. “Through our program, VARs can offer customers the tools they need to fully empower their employees. This hits at the very heart of what we do, which is to offer a customer experience without peer or equivalent.”

But TELUS offers more than just mobility:

Business Internet – uncompromised reliability backed by proactive network monitoring and 99.9 per cent service availability IP networks – dedicated network quality for business voice, video, and digital applications among office and retail locations with the most performance guarantees in Canada
Voice – from traditional phone lines to advanced voice solutions with features that deliver greater voice clarity and reliability; choice of plans and features to meet the needs of virtually any business UC and service management – for improved employee productivity and client attraction and retention; cloud-based collaboration and contact centre solutions

So what does this all mean to VARs? It means benefits galore:

  • Attractive payouts – When contracts are sold or renewed, you get paid; collect the commission margin without the hassle of risk, post-sales billing, PM, or support.
  • Account coverage – TELUS account executives are ready to collaborate with you for target account selling by geographic region, and are available on both four-legged calls and QBRs.
  • Pre-sales expert support – TELUS has hundreds of pre-sales network, security, and communications to help you build solutions; also live sales training, online, and Webex

“The support we offer really drives the nail home, in my view, and shows prospective partners what we’re made of,” said [Name]. “Our job one is to provide the best possible experience — no half-measures. With our program, VARs have access to a team of crack sales, technical, and customer experience managers. These people fulfill a VAR’s every business need, and ensure their experience with TELUS is both seamless and painless.”

Perhaps the real reason for the success coast to coast of TELUS’ Associates Program is that it has its roots in technology.

“Our program isn’t a mishmash of disparate elements and empty promises,” said [Name]. “It was built from an IT perspective, by individuals who have deep technical knowledge. You can tell by the way it’s constructed and presented. It’s built the right way, with the customer front of mind from beginning to end. For many VARs — and even leaving aside the commissions, which are very handsome — is an opportunity to grow and win big.”
