The bar has been raised on videoconferencing

As more employees return to the office, they are noticing lots of changes beyond mask and vaccine requirements. One major difference is that their expectations around collaboration have evolved. After having used video conferencing for remote collaboration from their homes throughout the pandemic, employees now expect not only basic functionality, but high-quality and equitable meeting experiences.

“Organizations have realized that pre-pandemic meeting room setups aren’t sufficient anymore,” says Betsy Rhine, Product Marketing Lead for Logitech Rally Family. “To stay competitive, companies must offer their employees video conferencing solutions that promote inclusive collaboration and bridge the gap between those joining in-person and remotely.

Rhine points to Rally Bar, an all-in-one video bar for midsize rooms, with extension options for larger spaces. Rally Bar delivers brilliant video at resolutions up to 4K, featuring a motorized pan and tilt camera with both optical and digital zoom. A second built-in camera called AI Viewfinder uses scene awareness to find and optimally frame everyone in the room, and has the ability to capture insights about room occupancy. Ultra-low distortion speakers and AI Noise suppression ensure everyone in a hybrid meeting can hear and be heard clearly.

Logitech’s Rally family includes Rally Plus, a highly flexible modular video conferencing system for large and extra-large rooms; Rally Bar, an all-in-one video bar for midsize meeting rooms; and Rally Bar Mini, an all-in-one video bar for small rooms and huddle spaces. Simple and easy to deploy, all three Rally products feature crystal-clear video and audio, AI-powered performance, and are compatible with or certified for leading video conferencing services, including Google, Microsoft, and Zoom.

Simple setup, management, and support for both PC and appliance-based deployment modes are among the major selling points of Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini. Both video bars natively run CollabOS, Logitech’s secure operating system for video collaboration. Logitech RoomMate, a CollabOS appliance, makes it easy to deploy Zoom Rooms Appliances, Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android, and other supported solutions in larger rooms with Rally Plus. And with the addition of Tap or Tap IP, users can join meetings with one touch and easily share content.

“Our goal is to deliver high-quality, equitable, and enjoyable meeting experiences for everyone, regardless of their working arrangement or point-in-time location,” says Betsy Rhine. “How and where people work together is increasingly flexible. With video as the cornerstone for collaboration, doing it well will be a key differentiator for all progressive companies.
