The annual CES show is usually full of consumer products but there’s also lots for enterprises to be interested in. Here’s nine early announcements that caught our eye

Toshiba will release two 15.6-in. laptops in the middle of the year with what it calls Ultra HD 4K resolution — 3840 x 2160 at 282 PPI. The W50 (below) will have 2 GB of dedicated video memory, a fourth generation Intel Core CPU and weigh less than 6 lb. The Satellite P50t with similar specs is aimed at photographers and graphic designers.

The latest in the network attached storage line is this model, which holds up to four hot-swapable 4 TB SATA III server class hard drives and is said to deliver up to 20 per cent higher data read and write that the previous version. There are HDMI, eSATA and USB 3.0 ports It starts at US$729, without disks.

This 42-inch display (C4267PW) has a commercial-grade chassis, thermal management and the ability to track up to 60 simultaneous touches. It can be mounted on a wall or a table top. Available in March with a list price of US$5,899

Toshiba 13.3-in. Chromebook
Chromebooks are for those looking for light and inexpensive computing. This larger-screen model, priced at US$280 and with up to nine hours of battery life, weighs 3.3 pounds. Powered by an Intel Celeron processor, it has a 16 GB solid state drive and two USB 3.0 ports. Available next month.

ZTE Projector Hotspot
As its name says, it combines a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to eight people with a digital projector which can project up to 120-in. images. The unit has a four-inch touchscreen for accessing menus. It comes with a 5000mAh battery. No pricing or availability announced.

Laptop or tablet? The MIIX 2 lets you choose — and it comes in two sizes. The 10-in. model has an Intel Atom CPU. The 11-incher has an Intel Core i5. Both run Windows 8.1. Pricing starts at US$499 for the 10-in. model (available in March) and US$699 for the 11-in version (available in April).
