Twitter announces new ad revenue sharing program for creators

Twitter has announced that it will be sharing ad revenue with select creators on the platform. The program will initially be limited to verified users with at least 5 million impressions on their posts in each of the last 3 months. Creators who are eligible will receive a share of the revenue from ads that are displayed in the replies to their tweets.

The new program is part of Twitter’s efforts to attract and retain more creators on the platform. In recent months, Twitter has faced increasing competition from other social media platforms, such as TikTok and YouTube, which have been more successful at attracting and monetizing creators.

The initiative is still in its early phases, and the amount of income producers will make is unknown. Twitter, on the other hand, has stated that it intends to expand the program later this month. Creators must be verified on Twitter, have at least 5 million impressions on their tweets in the previous three months, and have a Stripe payment account to be eligible for the ad income sharing program.

To be eligible for the program, authors must not contain sexual or unowned copyrighted content, content regarding pyramid schemes or get-rich-quick schemes, violence, criminal activity, gambling, or drugs and alcohol.
