Samsung has announced that its self-repair program, which gives users access to the tools and parts needed to repair their own Samsung devices, such as the Galaxy S20, S21, and S22 smartphones, as well as the Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 laptops, is now available in the United Kingdom and other European countries.
The program is now available in parts of Europe and will be available in the United Kingdom by the end of June. In Germany, repair kits cost roughly €30 (price in the UK is not yet available). The charging port and rear panel of a Galaxy S20 cost roughly €50, while the display costs €200. The Galaxy S22 Ultra display might cost up to €310.
The program will be offered in Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, and Sweden, in addition to the United Kingdom. In the United States, Samsung worked with iFixit, while in Europe, component distributors ASWO and 2Service will handle sales and delivery of the repair kits.
Owners of the Galaxy S20, S21, and S22 series will be able to change the phone’s screen, back glass, and charging ports. If you need to repair a Galaxy Book Pro, you’ll have access to seven different parts: the case front, case back, display, battery, touchpad, power key with fingerprint reader, and rubber feet.
