Leaked manual reveals Lenovo’s Android laptop

Chinese computer maker Lenovo Group Ltd. is poised to launch a new laptop running on Google’s Android operating system, a leaked manual for the device revealed prematurely.

A user’s manual for the laptop called the IdeaPad A10 was accidentally uploaded on Lenovo’s Web site recently.

The manual indicates that the device will have a 10.1-inch high definition touch screen that can be opened up to 300 degrees while the keyboards rest face down.

A spokesperson for Lenovo today admitted that that the manual was unintentionally leaked and that the company had planned a formal announcement for the device.

In an interview with online technology publication Computerworld.com, the spokesperson said Lenovo will later announce the IdeaPad A10’s launch date and price.

The manual shows the device has an ARM quad-core 1.6Ghz processor from Chinese chip maker Rockchip. The laptop is available with !GB or 2GB RAM and 16GB or 32GB of storage.

It has a 0.3 megapixel camera, a microSD card slot and an HDMI port.
