The 2014 version of the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas has ended, and we’ve had a number of stories that covered the devices and gadgets that were announced. My colleague Paolo del Nibletto has a round-up of what he calls the “coolest and craziest” new products rolled out at the show which haven’t been written about yet.

There were no shortage of “award winners” — best-of-show prizes given by a number of industry magazines that we haven’t delved into but I’ll also mention them here:
–NanoTech Entertainment introduced its Nuvola NP-1 streaming media player, a small set to box that can stream Ultra HD (4K) content without downloading data before playing. It can play Android computer games, browse the Web, play Internet radio and more. Comes with a Bluetooth remote. It will sell for US$299.
–Dexcom showed its G4 Platinum continuous glucose monitoring system for people with diabetes. Users can program personalized information, such as glucose targets and alerts into the device.
–A number of our readers deciding on whether to buy a 2015 Corvette Stingray may make up their minds because of the optional Cosworth Performance Data Recorder. Record a video and data of what you hope will be a memorable drive, then replay it showing speed, RPM, g-force, a location-based map, lap time and more.
–For those with small pockets (or purses) Sony showed the Xperia Z1 Compact, a 4.3-in. waterproof Android smart phone. It’s 20.7 MP camera can take a burst of 61 frames in two seconds so you don’t miss an instant.
