AT&T is offering the “fastest on the internet” plans for its new lineup of home broadband plans. The new lineup offers 2Gbps and 5Gbps options with plans on the way to extend it to 10Gbps in the future.
The services will be available to 5.2 million customers in Atlanta, Charleston, Dallas, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, New Orleans, Orlando, and San Francisco.
The new AT&T Fiber 2 GIG plan price starts at $110 per month ($225 per month for small business accounts). The AT&T Fiber 5 GIG option starts at $180 per month ($395 per month for small business accounts).
AT&T Fiber 2 GIG option offers users 2Gbps download and upload rates. It also supports “dozens of connected devices working at their fastest possible speeds.”
The AT&T Fiber 5 GIG option speeds up data rates to 5Gbps for uploads and downloads.
AT&T will be introducing some measures to attract customers to the new plans and its sub-1Gbps plans. This includes the inclusion of modem rental in the promoted base price for AT&T’s fiber-based services.
