Anju Virmani (Kumar) has been an adviser and consultant in information technology (IT) for more than 20 years in Canada and USA. She is currently Chief Information Officer for Cargojet Income Fund. Prior to this she was the founder and CEO of Bizness Matters Inc., based in California. She was also the founder and CEO of The SAPlementation Group, an SAP consulting company.She serves on the Advisory Council for National Security, a body that advises the Prime Minister on all issues related to National Security. She is also a member of the Cross Cultural Roundtable on Security.
Among other community involvements, Virmani serves on the board of TiE, The Indus Entrepreneurs, a global, non-profit organization that nurtures entrepreneurship through networking, mentoring and knowledge sharing. She has served on the Trade Committee of the Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the board of Panorama India. Virmani holds a B.Sc and a B.Ed from the University of Delhi, India and an MBA from Baruch College, City University of New York. She has a keen interest in corporate governance and holds the designation of Charter Director, McMaster University.
