I'm in Las Vegas for HP's Americas Partner Conference at the Aria Hotel and Resort, but another big IT show is happening just down the strip, where the Mandalay Bay is hosting this year's edition of Interop.
I wandered down today to check out the trade show floor, which was large and very busy, and was surprised to see Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage, better known as the hosts of the popular MythBusters program on the Discovery Channel, working the D-Link booth. The networking vendor, which wants to get the word out to the market that it's moving into the enterprise space and “isn't just the $99 router company anymore,” enlisted the MythBusters to bust some networking myths — and make the pitch for D-Link, of course.
Here's a taste of their myth-busting presentation. And I'll have more on D-Link's enterprise play and channel plans for CDN Now.
