Bringing more than 30 years of strategic leadership, operational excellence and professional integrity to his role, Michael is responsible for all aspects of Express Scripts Canada’s strategic development and operational activities, which aim to bring value to clients and patients by leveraging deep industry knowledge and worldwide best practices in pharmacy benefit management.
By taking client and patient interests to heart and employing his strategy and leadership skills, Michael has successfully positioned Express Scripts Canada as a leader in pharmacy benefit management. In doing so, he uncovered key issues facing Canadian health insurance plan members and sponsors and played a pivotal role in driving strategies to reduce prescription drug waste and promote better health outcomes to help employers and employees lower drug benefit costs and preserve their overall benefit plans.
Michael also plays an active role on the senior management team of our parent company, Express Scripts, the largest and most advanced pharmacy benefit management company in the world.
Prior to joining Express Scripts, Michael was Vice President of IBM Canada’s Business Consulting Services division for the Financial Services sector, the largest management consulting and integration services business in the Canadian Financial Services sector. In that role, he acted as a management consultant with many Canadian financial institutions with a focus on business and IT strategy.
