Dublin,Calif.-based enterprise software firm Sybase Inc. has posted an 11 percent year over year total revenue increase in its third quarterfinancial results.
Thebusiness intelligence (BI) and data management software firm reportedtotal revenue for the third quarter of 2008 at US$284-million, up from$255-million in the same quarter last year. Database licence revenuealso saw a marked Q3 increase with a 15 per cent gain year over year.
“Iam extremely pleased with our ongoing momentum in the market and ourfourth consecutive quarter of record performance,” John Chen, chairman,CEO and president of Sybase, said in a release. “Our success isattributable to strength in our core database products and messagingservices, as well as our diverse business model.”
“Customersare responding well to our new productivity-enhancing solutions, suchas risk analytics, enterprise mobile computing, mobile banking, andmobile commerce,” he added.
Messaging revenue grew 30 per cent in the quarter with revenue reaching $44-million compared to $34-million a year ago.
