So you think you can blog? Announcing the winners

Great news bloggers, we moved the announcement of the blogging contest winners up by a week, thanks to our dedicated editorial committee who worked tirelessly to evaluate the submitted blogs. I can ensure you that it was definitely a close call on all of the categories, and that we received some excellent and insightful blogs from the contestants. For all of you who participated, well done for your efforts!

But let’s get to the part everyone is waiting for. I am pleased to announce the winners of So you think you can blog? below:

Category 1: Most amount of total traffic to all blog posts submitted by a single author which will be measured by the amount of unique visitors to the page.

Jeremy Page with his blog post Understanding cloud computing’s risk that crossed 1,000 hits within only days and remained at the top of all the blog contest submissions to date. Excellent job Jeremy!

 

 

Category 2: Best use of media and most visually appealing blog posts, that will be judged based on the amount of media used, the variety and the added value of the media to the post.

And the winner is…
 Bruce Harpham with his blog post How Canadian organizations use the Internet of Things where he made use of multiple forms of media including photos and an infographic. Great job Bruce!

Category 3: Most reader engagement from Disqus comments and social buzz based on the number of comments and social media shares.

And the winner is…

Bruce Harpham again with his blog post How Canadian organizations use the Internet of Things which had the most amount of community engagement and social buzz. A lot of work was clearly put into his blog, excellent job Bruce!

 

Category 4: Best contribution from an editorial perspective which will be given a total score out of 15 by a panel of editorial judges based on the following criteria:

  • Creativity
  • Writing style
  • Relevancy

According to our editor, Patrick’s piece was: “A clearly written blog post that helps readers understand printer management challenges and then gives actionable advice on how to solve those problems.
