The good news is e-commerce profits continue to grow thanks in part to small business confidence in delivery and fulfillment from electronic vendors. The bad news is that confidence isn't spreading among small businesses, according to SES Canada Research Inc.
The Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS) in Toronto reports the slumping economy will not seriously affect IT workers. The society polled 57 respondents, and 85 percent of them said their IT departments would either grow or stay the same size throughout 2001.
