The Secure Virtual Network (SVN) architecture from Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. seeks to obliterate the notion of a secured perimeter with holes poked through to allow VPN connectivity.
TELUS Corp. president and CEO George Petty will step down from that position at the end of his current contract, according to the company. Petty announced he would not renew his contract but is providing the board of directors time to find a replacement. AXIS Auto-Go software automates the process of connecting printers to a network by configuring the network connection and installing the correct printer driver, according to Axis Communications Inc. When new printers or digital copiers are added to the network via an Axis print server, Auto-GO automatically discovers them. Also, Javascript Web pages provide detailed information and control over the print server and attached printers.
