Most Web sites fulfil one of two objectives. Either they try to sell you something or inform you about something. In other words, sites are generally either e-commerce or e-information. Vancouver-based Mountain Equipment Co-op recently launched its revamped Web site which has managed to meld the two into a cohesive unit.

Though computing power has advanced at incredible speeds over the last quarter century, it has limitations. But today there is a growing field of computing so revolutionary that many of the traditional laws of physics which we treat with reverence are getting tossed on their sides. That field is quantum computing.
