    The Domain Name System (DNS) is one of the most important components in networking infrastructure, enabling users and services to access applications by translating URLs (names) into IP addresses (numbers). Every icon and URL, and all embedded content on a Web page requires a DNS lookup. Loading complex sites may necessitate hundreds of DNS queries, and even simple mobile apps can require numerous DNS queries to load.
