Zarlink gets new vice-chair

The Ottawa-based Zarlink Semiconductor announced today the appointment of a new vice-chair of its board of directors, Adam Chowaniec.

Chowaniec joined the board in February 2007, and will now be in charge of keeping strategic planning on track.

Previous to this, he founded the Tundra Semiconductor Corporation, and held positions with Bell Northern Research, Nortel Networks, and Commodore International. He was appointed to the Natural Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada in 2005.
