There is a spectacular view from Louis Shallal’s window of Ottawa’s
Rideau Canal, the Chateau Laurier, Confederation Park and other sights that
constantly turn up in the nation’s postcards. And there is a certain irony
too.
The Executive Director of Information Technology for Ottawa-Carleton Region can also
look out at more than a dozen ’50s- and ’60s-era government buildings,
including the central post office, now sitting virtually half empty while he
plots a revolution in public administration.
