Plantronics, the Orlando-based audio electronics vendor, announced yesterday the enhanced integration of its products and bulking-up of its unified communications offerings with a new plug-in, Plantronics PerSonoCall Plug-In for IBM Lotus Sametime Standard 8.0.
The plug-in will provide integration between Plantronics’ professional wireless headsets (including the Plantronics Voayer 510-USB and the Plantronics CS50-USB) for computers and Lotus Sametime 8.0. This integration will provide the program’s call management functions such as voice activation, call answer/end, volume, mute, and remote ring detection through a wireless headset. This will allow users to move up to 200 feet away from the computer and still have application functionality.
