Open-Source: Coming to HP’s rescue?

HP is one of several large vendors that have traditionally been seen to represent the opposite side of the coin to open-source. But as this article points out, the truth is somewhat different. Whether or not open-source cloud technologies can “save” HP remains to be seen, but it certainly is true that open-source is a good avenue to pursue for most cloud providers these days because of the way consumers perceive it (i.e., more flexible, offering more choice).
