New leaders to join CompTIA Canadian Business Technology Community Advisory Board

The CompTIA Canadian Business Technology (CBT) Community Advisory Board will be joined by new leaders from across the Canadian technology sector.

In 2019, the CompTIA CBT Community Advisory Board will be chaired by Mark Collins, vice president, Canadian partner organization, Cisco, Christopher Fabes, Canadian channel leader, Lenovo, Denis Gaudreault, country manager, Intel Canada and many others.

As a hub for business leaders to come together to discuss, share, and educate each other on how to best implement business technology, the CompTIA CBT Community Advisory Board aims to provide an open, vendor-neutral forum to foster collaboration. It currently consists of 1,100 members from all over Canada.

Canada’s tech industry is vibrant and growing,” said Jim Hamilton, vice president for member communities at CompTIA, in a press release. “As new innovations and emerging technologies take hold in the marketplace, our industry will play an even bigger role, counseling companies on the best digital strategies to meet the unique needs of their business.”

On March 7th, the CompTIA Advisory Council Executive Board was joined by executives from the blockchain, business application, Channel, drone, and smart cities sectors. Serving members include Gavin Gamber, vice president, channel and alliances, ConnectWise, Jason Bystrak, vice president, cloud business unit, D&H Distributing, Adam Gittins, general manager, HTS Ag, among others.

CompTIA is a non-profit trade association recognized for providing IT certifications for a wide range of technology roles. Its certifications are recognized in over 120 countries, with 2.2 million people holding their certificates since their establishment in 1982.
