Microtek Lab Inc. has announced availability of the ScanMaker V6USL legal-size scanner, which incorporates USB and a ACSI interface in the same unit.
This scanner offers 1,200 by 600 dpi optical resolution and full in-and-out 42-bit colour.
LightLid 35 is bundled with the V6USL and is capable of scanning photographs, film transparencies and 35mm slides. It also offers letter and legal size document scanning capabilities. The FlexScan lid allows users to scan books and other large publications.
The scanner also features a smart sleep mode, which automatically turns the scanner on and off.
Other features include ScanWizard 5 which can automatically determine photo or document size, and adjust brightness, colour and contrast.
The scanner comes with Adobe Photoshop LE and Ulead PhotoImpact for image editing.
