MGI Software, specializing in digital and video imaging, announced it would soon be releasing its MGI PhotoSpace this summer. PhotoSpace is a set of server-based imaging technologies that function as an online photo editing and project creation application. The technologies can be incorporated by any Web site. According to MGI, PhotoSpace will be available for implementation by partners in the second quarter 2000. PhotoSpace works in real time within the browser window. It does not require the user to download software, and does not require a fast Internet connection speed. Regardless of whether visitors are connecting to a PhotoSpace-enabled Web site through a PC, Internet appliance, or wireless device, they will be able to fix and enhance photos, and then combine them with rich content to create special photo projects such as greeting cards, posters, and calendars. MGI Software can be found on the Web at http://www.mgisoft.com.
