M2 Optics is introducing a line of optical couplers, splitters and WDM products in compact 2U models tha company says take up 55 per cent less than standard LGX modules. The company says 20 FiberSplit Micro Modules will fit into a standard 19-inch rack, as opposed to 12 LGX modules. The modules come in 1×2 thorugh 1×8 splitters, CWDM and DWDM configurations and combinations operating in the 1310 nm, S, C, and L bands. The modules cost from $180 to $450, the company says
