Schwarzenegger scraps California RFID security measure
California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has vetoed legislation that would have created a security framework for the use of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology in the state’s official documents and identification cards.

Moore of Visalia, Calif., writes: We need to engage in a letter-and-phone-call blitz to the Governor’s offices to let him know that we are displeased with his veto and that we expect him to support Mr. Simitian’s efforts; additionally, we need to demand that the Governor join the growing resistance to the Real ID Act. A letter or call only takes a few minutes and has a tremendous impact. You can make a difference! It’s also a good idea to contact Mr. Simitian and encourage him to continue to fight for this.
