Innovation may be the obvious business mandate, but plenty of companies are guilty of creating a culture where a good idea has as much opportunity to take root as most of us have of winning the lottery. What gives?

October 23, 2007 – There is no unique rule in nature to make something innovative. But, I am giving some critical tips about the functioning of the system. First of all, people behind deep science as PhDs are not learning about Philosophy of Science, like Epistemology, Metaphysics, Logics, and History of Science. Second, the patenting system is run by Lawyers which are not trained in science. I found already a huge technological and scientific gap in Applied Hydrology (US 6,766,817). I believe in the possibility of having much more become of some inconsistencies. Innovation comes from opportunity and finding new ideas in ignored niches usually not being sought.
