Battling Apple on its own turf, Google is planning to release a Siri-like app for iPhones and iPads, which will perform many of the same functions. The application will also be available for Android smart phones, but its market penetration will be quite low since it will run only on Android Jelly Bean.
So, how does it compare? According to the test run by LaptopMag, it wins in some areas and loses in others:
“although Google Voice Search has nifty abilities, like returning sports scores and images, Siri is better at other tasks like making calendar entries and writing messages, which gives it the edge.”
