You can tell a lot about a Twitter user by what they choose as a “pinned tweet.”
When the social media service created a new look and feel for individual user profiles a few months ago, it added an option to select one of the 140-character postings you’ve shared and have it semi-permanently fixed near the top.
For Geoff Hogan, IT director at Grey County, Ont. and a self-described rural broadband evangelist, it was a comment about the sometimes false promises of moving to host technology infrastructure  that deserves a place of prominence.
