The Computing Technology Association (CompTIA) Educational Foundation announced it will expand a program that provides financial assistance to students and adult learners preparing for careers in IT.
The CompTIA IT Merit Award program now extends to students enrolled in classes delivered by training providers who are members of CompTIA Learning Allicance (CLA).
CLA members can nominate students who’ve exhibited exceptional talent or special effort in achieving their CompTIA certification. Winners will receive a $250 award toward their IT education.
Before this, the program applied to students enrolled in IT curriculum at schools that are members of CompTIA Education to Careers program. Those students will continue to be eligible.
CompTIA membership extends into more than 100 countries.
