Cogeco Peer 1 adds Managed Microsoft Azure Services to cloud portfolio

Cogeco Peer 1 is adding Managed Microsoft Azure to its list of cloud portfolio services.

The global provider of business-to-business products and services made the announcement this morning, adding its customers can now pick scalable and customizable Azure services to not only simplify their transition to the cloud, but improve their return on investment for those who don’t have the skills to take full advantage of Azure, Bertrand Labelle, vice president of marketing and innovation for Cogeco Peer 1, said in a statement.

Customers will also benefit from faster and more reliable connections, scalable service management and increased security through Cogeco Peer 1’s Identity Management System.

“Our administrators may not always need to view the server password credentials to access your solution; the session launcher can automatically connect our administrators to your solution without passwords being exposed. Cogeco Peer 1 service passwords are automatically burned and rotated once viewed,” says the company’s website.

A team of administrators well-versed on the Microsoft Azure platform will provide 24/7 customer support, the company adds.

Led by the U.S. market, organizations will be spending more money on managed cloud services, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC), and by 2021, that growth will reach $62 billion USD. In the U.S. specifically, the adoption of managed cloud services will triple, from 16 per cent in 2017 to 54 per cent by 2019.

Organizations are looking for quick and easy access to a multitude of services ranging from trouble shooting to service updates, says David Tapper, IDC program vice president of outsourcing and managed cloud services.

“It is important for providers to build a partner ecosystem of cloud services,” says Tapper.
