Cisco announced today enhancements to its Self-Defending Network that will catapult it from a solution set to a broader system-based approach.
This includes Cisco Intrusion Prevention System 6.1 offers greater insight into network health and includes the new Cisco IPS Manager Express, which offers IPS provisioning, monitoring, and reporting.
The Cisco Firewall Service Module 4.0 (for switches) speeds up high-volume traffic information delivery.
For securing endpoint devices, there’s the Cisco Security Agent 6.0, while sensitive customer and corporate information within Web 2.0 applications is protected by the Web Application Firewall.
Also included are the newest iterations of Cisco Security Monitoring Analysis Response System 6.0, and Cisco Security Manager 3.2.
