Technology solutions provider CDW Corp. is seeking to provide its customers hosted virtual desktop (HVD) services through a newly created partnership with Calif-based cloud services firm dinCloud.
Under the agreement, CDW will be able to resell dinCloud’s HVDs and related cloud services, including the company’s high -servers and cloud-based storage.

CDW’s hosted virtual solutions offerings now include:
- dinServer – dinCloud’s hosted virtual servers provide their own private data center, including a firewall, private virtual server, network and storage. Combined with dinCloud’s ability to establish private links to a customer’s existing data center, helping to support a hybrid cloud environment
- dinManage – dinCloud’s cloud orchestration and provisioning tool gives users complete control to configure, upgrade, downgrade, add or remove servers as needed
- dinStorage D3 – This Amazon API-compatible S3 cloud storage alternative provides economical storage, wide application compatibility, and unlimited bandwidth usage. With no transfer fees, D3 collaborates seamlessly with an array of third-party products and can replicate data across multiple data centers
- dinHVD and webHVD – HVDs run from a private virtual data center, enabling administrators to provision resources within minutes. Users have access to the same workspace, regardless of devices being used. webHVD, dinCloud’s latest generation hosted virtual desktop, is accessible from Google’s Chrome browser on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux or any Google Chromebook
