David F. Poirier was recently named President, Enterprise Services and CIO of MDS Inc., Toronto, a provider of medical services, products and instruments. Mr. Poirier will lead the newly created Enterprise Services area at MDS that will include the company-wide, internal shared functions of finance, human resources, information technology, supply chain management and facility services. Prior to joining MDS, Mr. Poirier was Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Hudson’s Bay Company. While at Hbc, he was featured as a cover story in CIO Canada (March 2003).
