David Cook

has been named Vice President of Information Services and e-Business for United Way of Greater Toronto. He will head up the implementation of the organization’s e-business strategy, which has made it a leader in using technology to enhance fundraising and communications. Mr. Cook joins United Way from McGraw-Hill Ryerson Ltd., where he served first as Director and then Vice President of Information Services & Technology, leading a number of large systems and e-business projects. He has also worked for Computer Sciences Canada Ltd. and DuPont Canada Ltd.

Four IT executive appointments have been made at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, CIO Branch. Keith Nephin has moved from Acting Director, Information Management, to Director, Infrastructure Management. Josip Capkun, the former Acting Director, Information Technology, is now Director, Policy, Planning and Liaison. Zahra Pourjafar-Ziaei moves from Acting Director, Front Office Applications, at the Information Management Branch of the Department of Justice to Director, Business & Enterprise Systems at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
