David Nicholl, the former Vice President of Client Services for Oasis Technology of Toronto, is moving to the public sector. Effective in September, he will take over the role of Chief of Business Solutions for the Transportation I & IT Cluster within the Government of Ontario. He will be based in Toronto. Mr. Nicholl spent two years with Oasis and eight years with Bank of Bermuda, most recently as Director of Information Technology
Nancy Cheng has been appointed Associate Deputy Chief for the Government of Canada’s ITS Communications Security Establishment, based in Ottawa. In her previous position, she was Principal for IT Audit with the Office of the Auditor General, also in Ottawa. In her new role, which she moved to in June, Ms. Cheng will be looking at enhancing IT security programs for the benefit of the Government of Canada and the public at large. Included in her duties will be input into the strategic direction of government IT security initiatives.
Stephen Zucker was recently appointed Chief Information Officer for International Financial Data Services Canada Ltd., Toronto, a firm providing advanced mutual fund administration and transfer agency solutions to the global collective investment industry. Mr. Zucher was formerly Senior Vice President, Canadian Integration Services for BCE Emergis. Previous to that, he was Vice President, Toronto Region, for APG Solutions & Technology, a Canadian systems integrator that was sold in 2000 to CGI.
