Asus AGP-V7700 Deluxe 32

PC World.com

WHAT’S HOT: The AGP-V7700 Deluxe 32 was a close match to the other GeForce2 GTS boards in terms of frame rates, producing 89 frames per second in 16-bit-color Quake III and 79 fps in 32-bit color. It ships with 3D glasses, a nice little add-on, and also comes with a full version of the game Soldier of Fortune. WHAT’S NOT: The $319 sticker price is fairly steep. And this Asus product is like other GTS boards in that it produced frame rates that weren’t much of an improvement over competing products in games other than Quake III. Its color and graphics quality in Microsoft Corp. Flight Simulator 2000 earned only a Fair overall rating. WHAT ELSE: In addition to the game and glasses, the software bundle includes Asus’s DVD2000 package with a software DVD player (useful with the board’s TV-out port), an overclocking utility, and the 3Deep color-calibration utility. Asus offers a competitive three-year warranty on the AGP-V7700 Deluxe 32, with tech support available for 9 hours each weekday–though you’ll pay for any toll charges. BEST USE: A top-of-the-line board, the AGP-V7700 Deluxe 32 offers a nice all-around package with 3D glasses and Soldier of Fortune. If you have the cash, you’ll be happy with its performance.
