Acer launches Centrino Tablet

Acer Inc. has introduced the TravelMate C110, which it claims to be the first Centrino-based convertible tablet PC to debut on the world market.

Building on the success of Acer’s first convertible tablet computer, the TravelMate C110 is said to offer advanced wireless connectivity with Intel Corp. Centrino mobile technology.

According to Acer, the TravelMate C110 incorporates DDR memory, which enhances performance and allows up to 2GB in memory expansion.

Other key features and improvements are said to include an optional Acer EasyPort docking station and a wider viewing angle for the LCD screen. Acer says that the new unit also has an automatically adjusting screen layout, which shifts between landscape and portrait viewing modes for presentation purposes.
