Concord Ont.-based Aastra Telecom has announced a new Microsoft-enabled phone system aimed for small businesses.
The AastraLink RP uses a Microsoft Response Point phone system to support both IP and traditional analog calling. It also features a voice-enabled user interface, advanced call routing, and contact integration with Microsoft Office Outlook.
“The combination of Microsoft’s unique voice-enabled telephony software, and Aastra’s robust feature rich phones, offers a powerful yet affordable telephone system for Small Businesses that have 1 to 50 employees” Yves Laliberte, executive vice-president at Aastra, said in a press release. “When you add the choice of three phone models to the mix, it allows Aastra to deliver the most comprehensive and complete end-to-end Response Point system solution available in the market today.”
Three different enterprise-grade phones have been developed for the AastraLink RP system including the entry level 6751i RP, the 6753i RP, and the 6757i CT RP, which comes with a cordless handset. Aastra also said that setting up features such as auto-discovery and auto-configuration can be done quickly with no special training or additional licence fees.
The AastraLink RP system is now available with the complete system bundle – which includes a base station, gateway and three phones – priced at $2,400. Additional phones will range from $139 up to $399.
