Images of what’s claimed to be the latest smart phone from Samsung indicate that the Galaxy S IV will likely be the splitting image of the model it will be replacing.
Technology news Web site ArsTechnica.com has compiled this wishlist:
1) Less plastic please – Some users would like to see the new Samsung smart phone clad in an aluminum body similar to the HTC One. If that’s not possible, some users would settle for an steel band, ceramic of even polycarbonate body.
2) Replaceable battery – Battery life was a common complaint with the Galaxy S III. Many users would like to see a standard, replaceable battery on the Galaxy S IV. A replaceable battery with longer life would add some thickness to the phone, but quite a number of people would not mind if the new phone received a bit more girth. They say they like the fact that they can recharge a dead battery while another one in one the phone.
3) Make it waterproof – Sony did it with its Xperia Z, so why can’t Samsung make the Galaxy S IV a waterproof phone? Users think this would be cool. Some have tried the Samsung Rugby, the rugged smart phone can actually take a dunk in three feet of water for 30 minutes.

5) Global LTE – The Samsung Galaxy S III has several different hardware configurations based on the country it is purchased. The units also differ in the LTE bands they support. Users want the S IV to have a chip that will allow it to get LTE from any carrier in the world.
6) Lower off-contract price – Users also want to get a much lower price on an off-contract Samsung Galaxy S IV. They point to the Nexus 4 introduced by Google and LG which could be had for around $300 without a contract.
