The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) is the Government of Canada's premier research organization. We support industrial innovation, the advancement of knowledge and technology development through partnership with Canadian industry. The NRC discovers, de-risks, develops, applies and commercializes digital technologies. Our areas of research and development include: 3D imaging, modelling and analytics; data analytics; machine translation; information extraction; sentiment and emotion analysis; bioinformatics; and machine and deep learning (neural networks). The NRC’s Digital Technologies Research Centre is home to a team of 40 artificial intelligence and machine learning experts. Other NRC Research Centres also house artificial intelligence expertise related to specific areas such as Transportation and Construction.
