Ph.D., Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge, Senior Member of IEEE, National “Thousands of Young People”, NSFC Outstanding Young Scientists, Shanghai “Oriental Scholar” Distinguished Professor, National Natural Science Foundation of China Excellent Youth Science Fund, China Voice Industry Deputy leader of the Alliance Technical Working Group. The IEEE speech and language technology committee, the international authority for intelligent speech and language processing, is currently the only university member in mainland China. In 2012, the Intelligent Voice Technology Laboratory was established at Shanghai Jiaotong University, bringing the comprehensive technology of the human-machine oral dialogue system back to China.

He has served as the chairman of the dialogue or speech processing field at international conferences such as InterSpeech, and has been repeatedly awarded in international evaluations and competitions such as the large-scale speech recognition evaluation organized by the US Department of Defense and the US National Bureau of Standards, and the dialogue system challenge organized by international research institutions. In 2014, he won the “Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award” Progress Award from the China Artificial Intelligence Society and was awarded the “Scientific Chinese 2016 Person of the Year”.
