TrialStat Corp. of Ottawa has unveiled version 4.0 of its ClinicalAnalytics software, which captures and reports medical research data. The vendor hosts the software as a service, and users can access it using Internet Explorer.
Designed for pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations, ClinicalAnalytics lets users export data to software such as Microsoft Excel, SAS, SPSS and to CSV format. Features new to version 4.0 includes the ability to isolate, retrieve and view “complex data sets,” including audit trail information.
“You can do a whole variety of clinical trials without the need for any programmers,” said Jonathan Barker, Trialstat’s president and chief executive officer. The pricing varies widely, and depends on the length of the study, the number of patients and how much information is entered.
Version 4.0 also includes post-data entry validation, which identifies anomalies and outliers, based on information on ranges and values entered by the users. It also includes form level permission and date-time controls.
