Tablet user get another screen size option with the release of Acer Inc.’s Iconia W3 8.1-inch tablet which the company says puts “full PC capabilities into a single hand.”

The W3 is powered by an Intel Atom z27602 processor.
The company said the W3 is ideal for professionals and consumers who are looking for the ease of one-handed tablet computing as well as access to programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.
“The Iconia W3 provides an unprecedented tablet experience, with a design that is compact enough to use comfortably in one hand for reading and browsing and a screen large enough for entertainment and desktop applications,” according to a Acer.

The tablet weigha 1.10 lbs. and has a thickness of 0.45 inches. Apart from its virtual keypad, the W3 pairs with an optional Bluetooth keyboard that holds the tablet upright for typing but can also serve as a carry-on screen protector. The keyboard is about the same size as keyboards found on a 13.3-inch notebook.
Acer said the device has up to eight hours of battery life. It has a LED backlit display capable of handling 720p videos. The screen has a 1280×800 resolution
The tablet has front and rear facing 2MP cameras.
The devices has a micro-HDMI port for connecting to a TV or other external displays and also comes micro-USB port. It is available with either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage and users can add an additional 32GB by using a microSD card
