Allied Telesyn International announced a router for small businesses and home offices that have a cable or DSL modem shared by multiple users. The AT-AR220E Cable/DLS router comes with an integrated 4-port switch, and can be linked to other switches or hubs to give a small office up to 253 Internet connections off a single cable or DSL modem. The router also acts as a firewall, providing network address translation for clients attached to the Internet via the device. The AT-AR220E costs US$139, and is available now.
