Informatica announces new Salesforce service

Informatica Corp. has announced a Web-based data loading tool which aims to automate Salesforce.com integration processes such as synchronization with other business applications.

The Redwood City, Calif.-based software maker said the Informatica On Demand (IOD) Data Loader Service for Salesforce will allow IT managers the ability to sync up their account information with other enterprise applications, load business leads, and create back office orders from closed opportunities. The software-as-a-service (SaaS) will eliminate manual coding efforts for IT administrators and remove the need for software or hardware upgrades.

“Salesforce.com and the software-as-a-service delivery model have helped us to design low-cost, easy to use integration tools that any administrator can use,” Ron Papas, senior vice president and general manager at Informatica On Demand, said in a news release. “Because the Informatica On Demand Data Loader utilizes Informatica’s vast experience in the data integration space and is architected from the ground up for SaaS delivery, customers can rapidly deploy it into a very stable and scalable ‘set and forget’ production environment.”

The IOD Data Loader Service for Salesforce was launched at this week’s Dreamforce Europe conference in London. The service will be generally available this June.
