Among the many digital encryption and authentication technologies available to secure your supply chain is software from Toronto-based RSA Security Inc. recently announced as available in Canada. RSA ClearTrust 4.7 software is the latest version of their Web access management software designed to help enable trusted e-business processes, according to a company press release. It is said to provide a centralized infrastructure for securely facilitating user access with single sign-on to Web-based resources. The software introduces a new Data Abstraction Layer (DAL) architecture for data access across the enterprise and native LDAP support.
Covisint, a global solutions provider for the automotive industry, is among those using RSA ClearTrust Web access management to govern user access and create a trusted e-business process, reveals the RSA announcement.
“RSA ClearTrust Web access management enables user access to our tools for product development, procurement and supply chain management, allowing registered Covisint users to sign-on once, and seamlessly move between only the applications and resources they have been authorized to access within the Covisint site,” the release attributes to Dave Miller, chief security officer at Covisint. “Our complicated business requirements stemming from the many levels and types of users we have in our system demands an access management solution that can work with user data no matter where it resides, and can easily snap into our IT infrastructure.”
